NO FEAR

The New Orleans Foundation for Experiential Arts Reach (NO FEAR) is an arts education nonprofit dedicated to providing free Experiential Learning programs, community outreach initiatives, and cultural exchange opportunities to young artists in New Orleans and beyond.

NO FEAR also produces Experiential Arts experiences which invite active participation from audiences and artists alike, with productions like the NO FEAR Festival emphasizing “art for heart’s sake” and putting audiences at the heart of participatory artmaking experiences.

Our Mission

The mission of NO FEAR is to expand the reach of Experiential Arts as a means to engage, educate, and empower young artists and the audiences their artmaking can serve.

We accomplish this by inviting youth to become authors of their own artmaking in our Experiential Learning programs and to produce Experiential Arts experiences that connect, reflect, and relate to artists and audiences alike.

We then broaden young artists' perspectives and understanding of the world by embarking upon purposeful community outreach and cultural exchange opportunities, so students can experience the positive impact and transformative power of Experiential Arts firsthand.

Our Vision

NO FEAR envisions a vibrant future for the arts and arts education. This vision includes a renewed appreciation and understanding of artmaking as a participatory activity that serves to connect, reflect, and relate human experiences — as artmaking has done for tens if not hundreds of thousands of years.

With Experiential Arts being a powerful tool in this renewal, and Experiential Learning being applicable to all mediums of art and areas of arts education, by 2030, NO FEAR plans to reach young artists in New Orleans and beyond through music, comedy, movement and dance, visual and media arts, theater, culinary arts, and more.
